Paul Bradford Sugarcraft School (PBSS) is a Scottish online education platform that produces and delivers cake decorating classes primarily in the form of video tutorials. Established in 2011, PBSS is privately owned and co-founded by Paul Bradford and David Brice.

History

Paul Bradford started his own cake decorating business in 2002 and having made cakes for Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles and Prince Albert of Monaco he later turned his focus to teaching. He launched PBSS in November 2011 with business partner David Brice.

Courses

PBSS produce a new cake decorating tutorial every week, delivered by Paul Bradford and a range of world class Guest Tutors. Members are provided with a comprehensive collection of tutorials ranging from creative novelty and birthday cake ideas to specific cake decoration techniques, baking and intricate wedding cake tutorials. Each course or tutorial is broken down in to easy to digest step-by-step lessons.

Business model

There are two means of accessing the cake tutorials - through a membership or buying a tutorial as a one-off lifetime access purchase. Premium Members have access to over 250 tutorials for a fixed monthly or annual fee. Pro Members have access to an additional growing library of courses for professional cake decorators, focusing on the commercial aspects of running a cake decorating business.

PBSS also provides over 100 lessons to their free membership, to help beginners get started.
